While a childrens play equipment that are generally used by two people, seesaws, are usually not a source of kid’s injuries it would still be great if people could learn how to play with it carefully in order that they just keep enjoying themselves at all times. To ensure safety it is generally not advised to let preschoolers join the fun since it requires cooperation between the two players and it would be dangerous for them if they fall down or fall out of balance.
Just like swings, seesaws are childrens play equipment that were designed to allow only one person per side and therefore, don’t try adding another kid when the weight are not balanced. Instead, the lighter child should just move towards the center until the right balance is met since a seesaw is a fulcrum and that’s how physics works. Or, if all that were still not enough, just find another child that were close enough in their weight.
Another thing to take note is, make sure that those who play and use the seesaw were actually facing each other while playing and not facing in some other way since they most probably won’t be able to anticipate the moves of one another if otherwise.
Lastly, remember that anybody nearby the childrens play equipment should stay back while it is in motion in order to prevent any unnecessary incident to happen and also keep in mind not to get onto it while it is moving since the seesaw was not designed to be treated that way.
